Well, it’s 2010 and The Carolinas have had a heck of a year. We released our first full length album, played some amazing shows, and are already working on songs for an E.P. that will release this spring, a short film documentary, a music video, and a new full length album. We look forward to what 2010 is going to bring. But we didn’t get here without a lot of help and support.
Our label, Branch Records, has been very good to us and is home to lots of great artists. You should check out our little family of artists and purchase some of their music as well. They are all great friends and people that we believe in.
BRANCH RECORDS
We also are thankful to some very great companies who have either given us gear or have given it to us for next to nothing so that we could do what we do. We don’t endorse this gear because it’s cheap or free. We endorse it because these are small companies that like us are trying to share something and create a family of people who believe in something special. Please check out these companies and feel free to email us with any questions about any gear. Special Thanks to…
ROAD RAGE PRO GEAR (pedal boards, bypass loopers, and more)
GEORGE L’S CABLES (cables, strings, and more)
EMPRESS EFFECTS (delay, tremolo, and eq pedals)
TELENORDIA (effects pedals)
C & C CUSTOM DRUMS (drums and hardware)
Most of all thanks to you all who read this blog, enjoy our music, and come to our shows. As songwriters we are simply trying to share something with other human beings in the small shot that something will connect and we’ll help each other as we walk through life together. You guys have encouraged us, challenged us, and made us better artists through your love and support. We will continue to do what we do as long as you care to listen. We hope that you continue to connect with the rough edges of life, the questions, the hope, and the struggles that are riddled in our songs and hearts.
This has been a great year and we look forward to making more music and sharing it with all of you. We are very thankful to have survived a very wonderfully tumultuous 2009. Keep supporting great artists, keep listening to music, and keep in touch. Here’s to a great 2010…
cheers,
The Carolinas
